Africa Map | Climate Chart

One of the most fascinating and beautiful places on earth, offering holidays of unrivalled variety where the rawness of Africa blends harmoniously with modern day comforts. Flights to southern Africa take 10/11 hours from London and with a time difference of just one hour in the summer and two hours in the winter, there is therefore no jet lag. Flights are usually overnight and you should arrive the following morning after a few hours sleep refreshed and ready to enjoy experiences that will remain with you forever.

SOUTH AFRICA

Whether you want to relax on beautiful sandy beaches or play superb golf courses, visit Table Mountain and explore the orchards and vineyards of the Cape, wonder at the forests, lakes and lagoons along the Garden Route, marvel at the rolling farmlands and the mountain ranges of the highveld or the lush vegetation and abundant wildlife in Mpumulanga and Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa’s wonderful climate makes it an ideal choice for a year-round holiday destination wherever you choose to go.

BOTSWANA

Botswana is one of the last unspoiled corners of Africa where you will discover a land of contrasts including the fabulous watery wilderness of the Okavango Delta, gigantic white salt pans where ancient lakes have long since dried up, vast grasslands and the seemingly endless Kalahari Desert. Some of Africa’s finest game and birdwatching is to be found within these areas. Botswana has remained focused on high quality, low volume tourism which produces the finest possible, authentic wildlife safari experiences, mostly in private reserves offering world class service and luxurious accommodation.

ZAMBIA / ZIMBABWE

A short flight from Johannesburg takes you to the mighty Victoria Falls, one of the most spectacular wonders of the world. Here, the Zambezi river, one mile wide, thunders over a number of cataracts into a chasm 300 feet deep. The resultant billowing spray spirals high above the Falls creating an exotic rain forest in the midst of the surrounding savannah. A range of accommodation is available on either side of the river which forms the boundary between Zambia and Zimbabwe.

A few days at Victoria Falls can be combined with a safari in Botswana, or Zimbabwe’s nearby Hwange National Park or the Mana Pools and Matusadona National Parks further downstream offer extraordinary game viewing and remarkable scenery. Alternatively, private luxury camps in the Kafue and South Luangwa National Parks in Zambia, an emerging safari destination, offer opportunities to explore these untouched wilderness areas abounding in wildlife, some species unique to these areas.
